Become a Volunteer

Volunteers play a very important role throughout our museums and heritage centres helping to enhance our visitors' enjoyment and understanding of the collection and also supporting the service.

Long-term volunteering opportunities include tour guiding, placements, facilitating object handling sessions for the public and helping out at events. However, we try to tailor the needs and interests of the volunteer to activities. So don't hesitate to get in touch with your local museum to see how you can become more involved in your heritage.

We are also in the midst of establishing a "Friends of Aberdeenshire Museums" organisation and would like to hear from anyone interested in becoming involved.
