About Us
Service Structure
Personnel and ICT
Personnel and ICT (Information & Communications Technology) provides a range of professional services that enable Aberdeenshire Council to develop its people and improve its ways of working.
Personnel
Supporting the declared Aims and Objectives of the Council by developing appropriate employee policies and strategies to meet the current and future service needs of the Council and providing comprehensive advice and support to enable Council Services to implement these in accordance with professional best practice.
This includes assisting Services in the assessment of employee needs and providing advice and support across the employee spectrum covering such areas as:
- Recruitment & Selection including Equal Opportunities
- Remuneration and Grading
- Consultations and negotiations with Unions
- Employment law
- Application of Council employment policies
Health and Safety
Provision of corporate advice and support relating to Health and Safety issues including Policy development and implementation, Accident Investigation, Risk Assessment and implications arising from UK and EU legislation which may affect the council, its operations and, of course, its employees.
Management Services
Assistance in the design and improvement of services, processes, jobs and the organisational arrangement and problems associated with people at work.
Development and Training
Responsible for the co-ordination of all aspects of individual, team, service and organisational development in support of service delivery.
ICT
The ICT Service provides and maintains information systems and an ICT infrastructure addressing the needs of all the Aberdeenshire Council Services. The services provided include
