Performance
The council collects information on its performance for two reasons:
- so it knows how it is doing and can improve what it does
- to help hold it accountable to the people of Aberdeenshire and others with an interest in the council
This section of our web site contains information about different aspects of our performance:
- Audit of Best Value & Community Planning 2008
This audit of the whole council was carried out by Audit Scotland and provides a judgement on the council’s overall performance. You can also find the related improvement plan and the council’s submission for the audit. - Peer Review 2005
A report of a "Peer Review" carried out in June 2005 by a group of councillors and senior managers from other local authorities. - Our public performance reports
These are our yearly reports showing for all our services how in general terms we’ve done over the last twelve months. They use a wide range of information to do that. - Our statutory performance
These are indicators we must collect and publish once a year by law. They cover most of our main services. The same information is available for all councils in Scotland so you can compare how we are doing against other councils. - Our own performance
These are more detailed indicators that we collect, usually monthly, to help us improve all the main activities of each of our services. - Scottish Public Services Ombudsman investigations
There are very occasionally times when members of the public feel we don't perform as we should do. Detailed here you will find the results of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsmans' (SPSO) investigations of complaints made against us.
