This fine example of the Buchan variant of the Recumbent Stone Circle tradition lies in a superb open situation.
Note the 5 stones still set on a low made-up stoney bank 1.5 m wide and 0.75 m high. The bank is elliptical in shape, 16.6 m by 12.8 m.

11 miles W of Peterhead. On B9029 1 ½ miles W of Old Deer, turn S up hill on minor road. In under ½ mile, at the third sharp bend walk up track for c 200m, enter field on right and head SE for small fenced enclosure on Parkhouse Hill.
