Sunhoney
A large stone circle, 26.7 m in diameter, consisting of a recumbent and 11 standing stones. Note the great size of this recumbent (5.3 m long) and the 7 cup marks on its present upper surface which had been originally the stone's outer face.
The inner cairn can be seen as a platform 7 m in diameter and 0.3 m high. Evidence of a funeral type pyre and 8 deposits of burnt bones were found in the central area.

9 Miles NW of Peterculter. Turn N off B9119 1 ½ W of Echt at Sunhoney Farm and park without obstructing farm operations. Walk past house, through gate and follow field boundary running W for 180 m to the tree clump containing the circle.
