Tomnaverie
Located on a hillside terrace with a wide view, similar to Aikey Brae (11) circle, this circle is 17.1 m in diameter. A recumbent, 2 flankers (1 of which is fallen), 5 erect stones and 1 fallen stone make up this circle, and enclose a cairn with slight traces of an inner kerb.
Excavations by Prof. Richard Bradley will be resumed in spring 2000.

C 4 miles NW of Aboyne, off the B 9094 Aboyne/ Tarland road. Park at the roadside at the Ancient Monument sign, ¾ mile SE of Tarland and walk 250 m up track to circle.
