Haughton is ideally situated within a beautiful 40-hectare woodland park on the banks of the River Don recognised as a premier salmon and brown trout river, the Alford fishing beat runs alongside the caravan park. The village of Alford is a short walk away and is a 45 minute drive from the city of Aberdeen. The village facilities include the Alford Valley Railway, the Heritage Centre and the Alford Transport Museum. The village also boasts an indoor swimming pool and dry ski slope along with a variety of shops and restaurants. Alford is also on the castle trail.
Facilities
Six self catering flats are available within the listed Mansion House. The flats are on the first and second floor, due to the number of stairs this accomodation may not be suitable for customers with walking difficulties.

- *The bed in flats 1 and 2 is in the sitting room
- Reception is on the ground floor as is the games room
- The laundry is on the lower ground floor
- Fishing permits are available to purchase from reception

- In addition flat 5 has a washing machine, flat 6 has a fridge/freezer
- Cots and highchairs available on request
