Services for people affected by domestic abuse
Our social work service provides a number of services for people who are affected by domestic abuse. We work in partnership with other agencies health services, police and the voluntary sector to provide a broad range of mainstream and specialised services.
A specialist social work team can provide information, advice, support and access to services.

Assistance is also available through our partner agency, Grampian Women’s Aid.
If you need help, contact your local social work office. They will arrange a suitable time for you to visit to discuss what help you need, or if you prefer, you can be visited at your home, or an other agreed place if that is safer for you. Our reception staff will ask for some basic information and give you an appointment.
If it is an emergency, you can ask to be seen by the duty social worker.
Alternatively, you can self refer by contacting your local social work office.
Your enquiry will be treated absolutely confidentially. Options and services can be discussed with you and you can choose what support, if any, you want to take.
