We need talented individuals with an interest
in computer-based information systems and a
desire to succeed. The opportunities are not
just technical in nature. Dealing with people
and understanding business processes are just
as important as knowing about bits and bytes!
Our Service provides and maintains
information systems and ICT Infrastructure
addressing the needs of all the Aberdeenshire
Council Services including Internet and
Intranet facilities.
As an ICT employee you would be involved
in a wide range of challenging and interesting tasks. Including:
- Customer Liaison & Service Desk
- Strategy Development
- Business Analysis Investigations
- Information Management
- Package Evaluation and Implementation
- Software Development and Support
- Network and Systems Management
- Desktop Support
- Information Processing
What qualifications and experience do you need?
We are always on the look out for both newly
qualified individuals (at every level, including
school leavers) and those with proven experience.
School leavers will need to complete Standard
Grade education including Maths, English and
preferably an IT related subject.
We also look for people with more advanced
ICT subject related qualification at HNC/
HND, Degree and Postgraduate level. For
those looking for college or university
qualifications, Aberdeen University and
Robert Gordon University offer a range of
Computing courses at degree level while
Aberdeen College and Banff and Buchan
College offer computing courses at HNC and HND.
A previous background and experience
in providing ICT services is clearly an
advantage when applying for more senior and
responsible professional positions.
