Single person Council Tax discount
You may be able to get a 25% discount on your Council Tax bill if you are the only adult living in a property. This discount reduces your Council Tax, water and sewerage charges.
How to apply
To be able to apply for the single person Council Tax discount you must:
- be aged 18 or over
- live in Aberdeenshire and be registered with us

After applying
After you have applied, you must still pay the amount on your Council Tax bill until you hear from us.
We will check every year that you are still entitled to the discount. We may cancel your discount if you don't reply when we contact you.
