ASBO

- Anti Social Behaviour Order
An order, which the local authority can issue in consultation with the police to restrain a person from acting in an anti-social manner

GREC

- Grampian Racial Equality Council
An organisation set up to promote racial equality. It advises and assists people with complaints of racial discrimination

RSL

- Registered Social Landlord Description to cover all types of non-profit making landlords, mainly called housing associations, which are registered with, and monitored by The Scottish Government

RTO

- Registered Tenant Organisation Tenant Organisation registered with the Council

RTB

- Right to Buy

MRTB

- Modernised Right to Buy

TIGHRA

- Tenant Involvement in the Islands, Grampian, Highland Rural Areas
An organisation set up in the North of Scotland to promote tenant participation in the area

TIS

- Tenants Information Service
An organisation managed by tenants which provides information, training and advice to tenants throughout Scotland

STO

- Scottish Tenants Organisation
The organisation representing tenants at national level

TP

- Tenant Participation
A process providing ongoing opportunities for tenants to influence the decisions taken by their landlords

TPO

- Tenant Participation Officer
Member of staff employed by the landlord to promote tenant participation

TPPT

- Tenant Participation Promotion Team
Aberdeenshire Council's team of tenants who are involved with the promotion and progress of tenant participation in Aberdeenshire
