Tenant Satisfaction survey 2009
A survey of Aberdeenshire Council's tenants was carried out in late 2009 by IBP Strategy and Research. The main purpose of the survey was to inform the Council’s review of the housing business plan by identifying tenant priorities for investment and how these might be delivered as well as considering tenant attitudes to the Council’s proposed policy in relation to rent levels. The survey also took the opportunity to explore a number of specific issues relating to appointment systems, internet access and the Tenant Handbook.
A postal survey invitation was issued to all 12,799 tenanted households and the responses are based on 2,518 responses (a response rate of 19.7%). In addition, a programme of four tenant focus groups were held (in each of Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Inverurie and Stonehaven) which a total of 44 people attended.
Tenant Satisfaction survey 2008
A survey of Aberdeenshire Council's tenants was carried out in late 2008 by IBP Strategy and Research. The survey focused on a number of dimensions of the “neighbourhood” theme and is intended to assist in identifying responses at a policy and operational level to improve neighbourhood satisfaction. A postal survey invitation was issued to all 12, 820 tenanted households.
Scottish Housing Quality Standard Delivery Plan
The Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) is a national standard which determines what constitutes acceptable, modern, good quality housing. It is, however, different to the Statutory Tolerable Standard (a very basic standard of acceptability) and the Building Standards (which only apply to new buildings).
Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords (RSL's) are required to produce Standard Delivery Plans to demonstrate how their stock will meet the standard by 2015.
