Herbal Workshop and Walk - Kitchen Condiments Medicine

Learn the medicinal and nutritional properties of the herbs and spices in your kitchen cupboard.

Did you know that the Mediterranean pasta herbs can boost our immune systems? That cinnamon can help balance blood sugar levels? That cayenne can improve the absorption of nutrients? Learn simple ways to increase your intake of these beneficial plants and make the most of them in herb teas, spicy hot chocolates, herb and seed energy balls, herb sprinkles, infused vinegar's, oils and honey and home-made ketchup

Sample nourishing dishes and take home some treats to try in your own cooking at home.

Herbalist Erica Hollis will take you on a walking tour of the herb garden at Pitmedden and possibly also into the woodland policies to identify some of the herbs you might use and answer any questions you have about growing and harvesting them.

The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm with a break for a herb themed light lunch in Pitmedden's excellent tearoom.

The cost will be £45 per person per workshop and must be booked and paid in advance as places are limited.
