Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme

We run a Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme to help individuals, couples or families renting in the private sector.

The scheme aims to help people who cannot provide a deposit, who have not accrued a debt previously through the scheme, and where one of the following criteria applies:

  • are aged 16 years and over and have made a homeless application
  • may be living in accommodation which is below tolerable standards
  • have a medical priority which is affected by their present accommodation
