Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme

We run a Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme to help individuals, couples or families renting in the private sector.

The scheme aims to help people who cannot provide a deposit and where one of the following criteria applies:

• Aged 16 years and over and may be homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and have received homelessness advice or assistance

• Assessed as living in below tolerable standard accommodation

• Assessed as having a high medical priority

• Have not accrued a debt through the scheme in the past
