Television aerials

You must request permission from us if you want to put up a television aerial or satellite dish at your home.

There are specific conditions attached when we agree to you fitting an aerial or dish. In general:

  • the satellite dish should be sited in such a way that minimises its impact on the external appearance of the building
  • satellite dishes can generally only be fitted to the rear of properties
  • no more than two dishes can be fitted to a block of flats.

Planning consent may also be necessary in certain locations. You should seek advice about whether you need to apply from the local Planning department, as well as getting our consent.

Some of our properties still have analogue communal aerials. These will become out of date with the introduction of digital television signals. We are no longer maintaining these systems. We have provided new digital aerials to our sheltered housing and some of our flats.
