Kincardine and Mearns Area

The Kincardine and Mearns Ranger covers the coast south of Aberdeen down to St Cyrus, extending inland to Durris on Deeside in the north to Fettercairn in the Howe of the Mearns in the south.

Sandy beaches to towering cliffs, rockpools and coastal geology can all be explored along the Kincardine and Mearns coastline. Small villages and harbours connected by coastal paths give opportunities for wildlife spotting.

For an active day out head inland and follow in drovers' footsteps on the ancient mounth routes over the Grampians.

Together the coast, woodlands, wetlands, raised bogs and rivers provide the chance for visitors to relax and get close to the local natural and cultural heritage.
