Sports and activity charges - pay monthly – junior and student
These prices apply to young people aged 18 and under and those who are aged 25 years and under and who are in full-time education:
By paying a monthly fee, which can be through direct debit or by paying as you go, you will also get faster admittance to our facilities. We will give you a National Entitlement Card which will be programmed with details of your monthly membership and you’ll then be able to ‘swipe’ this at any participating facility and get free access.
Our pay monthly members can also make online bookings of participating council facilities.
For further information on our memberships, contact Active Aberdeenshire.
Proof of eligibility
To be eligible for our junior (18 years old and under) or student prices, you will need to show proof of age when using our facilities.
To be eligible for our student prices, you will need to present your matriculation card and letter of confirmation from your university or college when using our facilities.
Looked after children are eligible for free access to our facilities by applying through our admin team at Gordon House in Inverurie.
Children and young people from families which are in receipt of certain benefits may be eligible for a 60 percent discount off our standard prices.
Young Scot Card holders or students over the age of 25 who previously received concession rates will now pay separate prices.
An Active Aberdeenshire membership gives you free access to swimming, fitness rooms, exercise classes, using our sports halls and badminton courts, playing games like squash and most children’s activities.
It does not cover children’s swimming lessons, privately-run exercise classes or children’s activities or the Huntly Nordic Ski Centre or Alford Dry Ski slope.
Our joint Active Aberdeenshire membership is available to any two people living together in the same household, such as flatmates, siblings and couples.
From April 2017, we introduced two memberships to save our customers money if they only use our swimming pools or only use our ‘dry’ facilities.
Active Swim membership gives members unlimited access to ‘wet’ activities in any of our centres, including swim sessions, visits to our steam rooms or saunas and aquafit classes.
An Active Swim membership does not cover junior swimming lessons.
Active Gym membership gives members unlimited access to any ‘dry’ activities (including fitness room usage and exercise classes) in any of our facilities.
