Transition area

The transition area is set up in the car park in front of the community centre.

Run section 

The first run and the 2nd run follow the same route. 

All competitors should do 2 laps of the red and black route shown on the run route map (pdf 87KB) and follow the directions:

Start on the grass at the transition areathen run up to Hays Way where you will turn left at marshal 1. Once onto Hayes way you will follow the pavement around to Old Skene Road (marshal 6) where you will turn left again and follow Old Skene Road until you reach marshal 7. Finally, turn left up a lane back to the start. 

Cycle section

Once you have completed both laps of the run section, pick up your bike at the transition area and do 2 laps of the red and black route shown on the cycle route map (pdf 267KB) and follow the directions:

Run with your bike from the transition area through the arch across the matts to the mount or dismount line, keeping to the left go up to meet Hays Way. Turn right on to Hays Way and follow the road until you come to a T-junction then turn left onto Westhill Drive. Keep going up the hill heading up towards the golf course, which is on your left-hand side.

Continue along this road to the crossroads on the B979. At this junction turn left and continue along the B979 for 2km until you reach Kirkton of Skene. Begin to slow at the slow signs and turn Left at the junction. Follow this road and across the new roundabout all the way back to Westhill and at Hays Way turn left. Continue along Hays Way past the entrance to transition and complete Lap 2 (the same route). After turning back on to Hays Way for the second time continue back to the entrance of transition where you will turn right and head to transition taking care across the speed bumps until you reach the dismount line. Dismount at the line and though the arch and across the matt.

Once you have completed your second lap, rack your bike and then repeat the run you have already done.
