Museums in Aberdeenshire

We operate 4 museums across Aberdeenshire, and a further 5 in conjunction with community run groups.

Aberdeenshire Museums Service has been involved with the massive undertaking by the BBC, entitled A History of the World. The website and associated television and radio programms has now been launched. Involving hundreds of museums from all over Britain each selecting a couple of 'prime' objects to display on the website.

Silver Teapot made in BanffAberdeenshire Council has two such objects from it's vast collections held at Mintlaw on the website. We will be able to add more as time goes by. Visit our Exhibitions page to view the objects and to see which museum they will be on display in.
