Education and Resource Centre

The Education Resource Centre houses handling and reminiscence kits for loan, and temporary exhibits for display. Education, Outreach and Lifelong Learning Service.

Patricia and SandraJoin us on a free, guided tour and find out what goes on behind the scenes at Aberdeenshire Heritage.  Explore the building, which contains over 40,000 objects, and discover some of the hidden gems in the service’s collections.  We can also organise a group tour or activity, tailor made to meet the needs and interests of your party.  To book a place, phone the Administrative Assistants on 01771 622807, or email museums@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.

Get involved in the formal and informal learning programmes - school, university and lifelong learners can visit the centre and take part in workshops and activities that complement the collections.  Contact Education and Access on 01771 622807 for more information.

The reference library is available for private research.  For those looking to conduct research on any of our collections or to view specific objects please consult our access policy to make prior arrangements.  Telephone 01771 622807 for more information.

Public use computersThere are also four computers with internet access for public use.  Please note that a time limit of two hours applies.  There is no need to book in advance.
