Aberdeenshire Heritage – Mintlaw (AHM) is the first publicly accessible store for the county’s museum service.  It is a purpose-built museum storage facility and visitor centre, as well as housing the service’s technical workshops.  This state of the art facility includes 810square metres of environmentally controlled storage space, housing collections ranging from fine art to botanical specimens.

AHM is open to the public four days per week (Tuesday-Friday, plus the second Saturday each month).  There is a developing programme of events and activities suitable for all ages.  So if you are interested in finding out what goes on behind the scenes at Aberdeenshire Heritage, please contact us to find something to suit your interests.

The Education Resource Centre also houses handling and reminiscence kits for loan, and temporary exhibits for display. Education, Outreach and Lifelong Learning Service.

Public use computersThere are also four computers with internet access for public use.  Please note that a time limit of two hours applies.  There is no need to book in advance.
