Trees, Forests and Woodlands

The Local Plan expresses the Council’s commitment to protect important trees and woodlands, whether these are covered by a Tree Preservation Order or are of significant ecological, recreational, historical, shelter or landscape value.

In certain situations they are protected by legislation. Trees also help integrate new development into it’s setting however they can easily be lost or damaged through lack of consideration while the development is taking place.
