Recording a fresh approach to poetry

7th May 2008

Poet John Mackie, of Banff, and Whitehills guitarist Adrian Ballie, known together as Infinite Equation, join forces to create a blend of poetry and improvised guitar music.

They perform a selection of John’s work, some of which dates back to the 1970s, accompanied by Adrian on acoustic guitar.

The £500 award from the forum will cover the cost of recording their forthcoming CD at Aberdeenshire Council’s ARC Recording Studio in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw.

Infinite Equation will be performing their work live during the local COAST Arts Festival in the Aberdeenshire coastal towns of Banff and Macduff.

The festival runs from Friday May 23 to Monday May 26, 2008 and more details are available at: http://www.coastfestival.org.uk/
