The main navigation bar is on the left-hand side of the screen. You can get to all of the site's content, features and services from here by clicking through the various levels.
Every page on the site has a search box in the top right-hand side of the page, just below the Aberdeenshire Council logo. Type in what you are lookingand click on the Go button. Results will be displayed with the most relevant at the top of the list. If you can't see what you are looking for make sure you haven't made a spelling mistake. The search will make suggestions if it looks like this might be the case.

Also available from every page across the site, we've created some pages which group links and services together for various kinds of user. Pick from the drop-down list to get a selection of information that is particularly relevant to you.
The sitemap gives you an overview of the entire site on a single page. The top three levels of the site navigation are displayed and you can link to any of these pages directly.
A wealth of local information can be accessed from our interactive map of the area. You can jump straight to a main town or start an address search from the Local Information box on the right-hand side of the home page. Alternatively you can find the map in our Online Services section.
On most pages you'll see that we've grouped together useful links in a box on the right-hand side of the screen. Links to other pages on the site and to external sites are included. Appropriate links are also included within the content and external links here will be indicated by this icon
Most of the files which are available to download from the site are provided in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format. To view these files you will need to have the Acrobat Reader software. You can download this from Adobe's website.
You should be aware that some of the files on the site are large and may take some time to download over a standard phone internet connection. To help you, we always display the file size beside the file link. As a general rule, a 500 kb file will take about 2 minutes to download using a 56k modem connection.
