Stonehaven - Capacity Study
For the last 18 months, Aberdeenshire Council has been working on a project titled 'Imagine Stonehaven', which aims to establish a long-term framework for the town, in the light of its potential for long-term growth.
To assess this potential, it has been assumed that Stonehaven will increase in the future by 50% - about 2000 extra houses. This is not a prediction of fact or timescale; and 'Imagine Stonehaven' is not itself a plan that dictates how to deliver it. That will be a job for subsequent structure and local plans, although using this study as background information.
