Aboyne

This brief is for a mixture of about 240 houses and 4 hectares of employment land within an overall site of approximately 31.5 hectares, which encompasses the whole area designated for new development in the Aberdeenshire Local Plan at Aboyne. This includes Sites A, fh1, fh2 & fh3, which are allocated for residential purposes, and Site EmpB, which is designated as employment land.  It has been agreed that 50 units within the first phase (Sites A and fh1) will be delivered through Grampian Housing Association for affordable housing, 24 of which will be for rent and 26 for low cost home ownership. A similar proportion of affordable housing would be expected in subsequent phases.
