Local Development Plan

Introduction

Aberdeenshire Council are reviewing the current Local Plan and replacing it with what will be called a 'Local Development Plan'. The Local Development Plan will provide the local interpretation of national planning guidance, from the Scottish Government, and the Structure Plan for Aberdeen City and Shire.

The Aberdeen City and Shire Structure Plan was approved by Scottish Ministers on 14 August 2009 and came into force on 17 August 2009. It will replace the structure plan approved in 2001 (except within that part of Aberdeenshire with the Cairngorms National Park).Follow this link for more information on the Structure Plan
