NOTICE under Section 16 (2)

Aberdeenshire Council has prepared the Supplementary Planning Guidance: Carbon Neutrality in New Developments in accordance with section 8(1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.  The environmental report has identified, described and evaluated the likely significant effect on the environment of implementing the Supplementary Planning Guidance: Carbon Neutrality in New Developments and its reasonable alternatives.

Carbon Neutrality

The event was organised to demonstrate the potential that exists within Aberdeenshire to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new developments.

It was also help to inform the local authority about what form supplementary planning guidance should take to reduce carbon emissions from such developments.

The speakers at the event were Christiane Egger of the Upper Austria Energy Agency, Wayne Ward of BRE, Professor Gokay Devici of Robert Gordon University and Jacquie Forbes of Stewart Milne

The seminar took place on October 12, at the Woodend Barn in Banchory.
