Interchange and Connect Points
How does through-ticketing work?
The scheme enables passengers to pay fares for onward bus journeys in a single transaction. For example, passengers travelling on local Mintlaw bus services may purchase an Aberdeenshire Connect ticket from their driver which entitles them to onward travel onto a mainline bus service to Aberdeen, Fraserburgh or Peterhead; changing at Mintlaw roundabout.
A 10% fares discount is provided compared to the total cost of the individual journeys. Single and return fares are available.
Where do I change buses?
You must change buses at the dedicatedInterchange point. The Aberdeenshire Connect ticket entitles you to onward travel on the next available bus to your chosen destination.
Aberdeenshire Connect through ticketing is in operation at:

Banff - interchange point is Low Street
Ellon - interchange point is Ellon Square
Fraserburgh - interchange point is Fraserburgh Bus Station
Macduff - interchange point is the bus depot (Shore Street)
Mintlaw - interchange point is Mintlaw Roundabout
Oldmeldrum - interchange point is the Square
Peterhead - interchange point is Back Street
Turriff - interchange point is the High Street.
Proposed Interchange Points
Aberdeenshire Connect is being rolled out across Aberdeenshire. These are the proposed interchange points, and the "mainline" bus services that operate to / from them.
Aberdeenshire Connect tickets are valid for through-journeys from a connecting service onto a mainline service, and vice versa, changing at a dedicated interchange point.
