We organise a range of events designed for you to learn more about your environment, the unique Aberdeenshire countryside and to have fun at the same time.

Winter Events Programme

Whether the weather be fine, or whether the weather be not, why not try something different this winter - unwind with yoga, feed the birds or enjoy a winter wander. Whatever your age, interest or ability, there’s something for everyone.

Booking
Many events need to be booked in advance. To reserve your place simply contact the appropriate Ranger Office. Some events have a waiting list, so if you find that after you've booked you are unable to attend, please call and let us know.

Cost
The majority of events are free to attend. Where there is a charge it can be paid on the day (unless stated otherwise). Cheques should be made payable to Aberdeenshire Council.

Please remember that for safety reasons you should come appropriately dressed for the event in which you wish to participate.

Walks - some guided walks have been graded to help you decide if it's the walk for you. These are for guidance only.

  • Easy - mainly on paths and tracks
  • Moderate - paths or tracks most of the way, but walking on rough ground and/or steep ascents in places.
  • Strenuous - some previous experience recommended - significant walking over rough ground and some long/steep ascents.

The Ranger Service is also available to adult and children's groups boy and duckwho wish to learn more about their environment. There is no charge for this service. Please contact your Area Ranger for further information.
