Events

We organise a range of events designed for you to learn more about your environment, the unique Aberdeenshire countryside and to have fun at the same time.
Booking
Many events need to be booked in advance. To reserve your place simply contact the appropriate Ranger Office. Some events have a waiting list, so if you find that after you've booked you are unable to attend, please call and let us know.
Cost
The majority of events are free to attend. Where there is a charge it can be paid on the day (unless stated otherwise). Cheques should be made payable to Aberdeenshire Council.
Please remember that for safety reasons you should come appropriately dressed for the event in which you wish to participate.
Walks
Some guided walks have been graded to help you decide if it's the walk for you. These are for guidance only.
- Easy - mainly on paths and tracks
- Moderate - paths or tracks most of the way, but walking on rough ground and/or steep ascents in places.
- Strenuous - some previous experience recommended - significant walking over rough ground and some long/steep ascents.
Dogs on walks
Dogs are welcome on some guided walks - please ask when booking.
If you have any special requirements please contact the Ranger concerned who will be happy to discuss any individual events with you.
The Ranger Service is also available to adult and children's groups
who wish to learn more about their environment. There is no charge for this service. Please contact your Area Ranger for further information.
