Standard Charges

  • Marriage notice (each) - £26
  • Marriage certificate - £8.50
  • Civil Marriage Ceremony - £46.50

If you have more than 4 guests there will be an additional room charge which varies depending on the venue. Please contact your local registrar for details of these.

Civil Marriage at an approved venue

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm - £207.00
  • Monday to Friday, 6pm to 8.30pm - £257.00
  • Saturday, 9am to 4pm - £257.00
  • All other times - £307.00

Travel costs are charged at 53.65 pence per mile from the nearest Registrar's Office.

The above fees include all statutory fees, excluding £150 if a temporary licence is required.

Licences for other venues

  • Civil Marriage Temporary Licence - £150.00
  • Civil Marriage 3 year approved licence (hotels etc.) - £350.00
