Marriage on Bennachie - snow in April ?

This bride and groom came from Ythsie, Tarves and Bennachie is their favourite spot for walking so it was their preferred place to get married.

Being April 8th we should have been safe from the weather but on the day ……… everything was white.

By lunchtime it was still snowing and I felt for sure they would opt for the marriage to take place in the Bennachie Centre. But no,when the couple arrived they decided we were going up the hill!

So off we set, taking our time as there were about 70 people from babes in arms to Senior Citizens. Thankfully the snow was falling gently down and there was no wind.

The ceremony went well and after we made our way carefully back down the hill we were treated to mugs of tea/coffee and HUGE Chelsea buns transported in from somewhere in England.

Yet another memorable occasion!
