Individual Property

Anyone who wishes to register a new property or change the name of an existing property should submit a letter indicating the proposed name and enclosing a location plan that highlights the property to be named. Please contact the relevant Local Roads Office where the request should be sent.

After consulting with The Royal Mail the Roads Service will write to the applicant confirming full details of the new postal address.

Housing Development

The developer should submit a drawing, if possible in Auto CAD format to the relevant Local Roads Office. This drawing must show the final layout of the relevant properties within the development. The Roads Service will consult with the Local Councillor in order to obtain the proposed street name.

After consulting with The Royal Mail, the Roads Service will write to the developer confirming full details of the new postal address.
