Academy School Meals

The meal provision at all Aberdeenshire Academies offers a wide range of Traditional and Modern food options.

In recent years the introduction of ‘Express’ counter services and ‘hand held’ style options has been welcomed by pupils and helped to create a contemporary service pupils are familiar with.

Traditional tastes for favourites such as Scotch Broth, Beef Casserole and Macaroni and Cheese are catered for and play an important part in the development of menus.

Other attractive features available to pupils include a Breakfast Deal, Meal Deals, Hot Panini Sandwiches, MunchPots and a pre-order pre-pay MEALS2GO service. View attachments for further details

Payment for individual food and drink options at most Academies is made using cash over the counter. The introduction of cashless payment systems using ‘Smart card’ facilities will become a feature at a growing number of Academies in the future as funding becomes available.

Daily menus at all Academies conform to the Scottish Executive’s nutrient standard targets and pupils will be encouraged to make balanced choices from a range of options that support a healthy lifestyle approach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

E-mail Box for Pupils

Aberdeenshire Council has made available an E-mail address that allows pupils to provide the School Meals Service with comments and suggestions regarding the meals and other relevant Catering issues at their school.
