Housing Land Audit 2009

The Housing Land Audit is carried out annually by Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Councils to determine the extent and status of the housing land supply in the area. The audit is used to decide whether there is an adequate supply of land for housing.

Housing sites are included in the audit if they have a capacity of five units or more and meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Allocated for housing in a Local Plan
  • With planning consent
  • With agreed potential for development

The base date of the audit is 1st January each year. A draft is made available for consultation in Spring with the final version published in late summer. More information on the audit process, the criteria for determining the status of sites and details of the housing land supply can be found in the most recently published Housing Land Audit below.
