- Business and Industry Support: Economic Development within Aberdeenshire Council exists to benefit business and community initiatives and all those looking to find out about Aberdeenshire or relocating to the area.

- European Matters : Aberdeenshire Council is actively involved in European affairs ensuring the interests of Aberdeenshire are protected and promoted.
- Publications: Reports and newsletters.
- Directories: Business directories for the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire areas.
- Financial Support: Economic Development offices around Aberdeenshire are staffed by experienced Business Development Executives who offer support and practical advice to businesses.
- Community Economic Development: Community Economic Development activities help release the enterprise potential within local communities.
- International Trade: Business Gateway International comprises four local members, and two associate national members.
- Agriculture and Rural Development : The Council focuses on assisting the rural economy including forestry.
- Food and Drink: Aberdeenshire Council recognises the importance of the food industry and its relationships to the traditional industry sectors of farming and fishing.
- Fishing: The service provides advice on all development issues relevant to the fishing industry.
- Renewable Energy: Aberdeenshire Council recognises the importance of promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy to help reduce CO2 emissions and combat Climate Change.
- Aberdeen City and Shire Film Office: The Film Office provides advice and information on all film related issues in the North East of Scotland
- Working for Families: The Working for Families Fund will assist parents across Aberdeenshire with flexible childcare and support to help them access training and employment opportunities.
