Farmers' Markets

Farmers Markets have become a popular fixture across Aberdeenshire, presenting valuable opportunities for producers to increase sales, add value to their own produce and gain closer links with the customer. The markets also have a proven spin off for local traders and businesses by attracting increased numbers of customers to market towns on market day.

Banff was the first market established in Aberdeenshire, followed by Banchory, Peterhead and Inverurie. Recent expansion of the circuit now includes markets in both Alford and Turriff. A street traders market also operates on a weekly basis in Ellon. Some of Aberdeenshire's producers also attend markets held in Aberdeen and Elgin.
