Dining Club
Monday 6th November 2006 - 6.30pm
The Milton Restaurant, Crathes, Banchory
Tickets £25.00pp (incl VAT)
The Dining Club is an initiative aimed at forging relationships between the food and tourism sectors to ensure growth in both areas. Chefs, restaurateurs, local producers and manufacturers regularly meet at these events to build mutual contacts for their companies.
Guests enjoy a specially prepared menu using the best of local produce, which is supplied by local producers and prepared by The Milton's kitchen team of award winners. The Milton Restaurant is situated at the gateway to Royal Deeside and the start of the Castle and Whisky Trails offers diners quality food in very picturesque surroundings.
For the November dining club, the Forum has invited Tony Mercer, Head of Quality and Standards at VisitScotland and Kevin MacGillivary, Director of EatScotland, to address guests. Tony will talk about the formation of EatScotland, the nationwide Quality Assurance Scheme that assesses quality in all sectors of the catering industry from fish & chip shops to restaurants and bars. Tony will give an overview of current activity including projects in development such as the Farm Shop Scheme and the Farmers’ Market Scheme.
Kevin is no stranger to creative cuisine. As Executive Chef at Ballathie House in Perthshire, he scooped many awards including the Scottish Chef of the Year and the Flavour of Scotland award. Kevin will be showing how to eat your way around Scotland with the produce currently available and sharing his favourite menu ideas on how best to prepare it.
Tickets for the dinner are £25 per person (including VAT), to ensure your place, please call Catriona or Lynsey on 01786 832812 or email catriona@denvirmarketing.com or lynsey@denvirmarketing.com. Alternatively complete the booking form below.
