Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards - 2007
The winners of the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards were announced on 14th March 2007 by Mr Ken McMeikan, Retail Director of Sainsbury’s, at the awards dinner held at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, Aberdeen.
Ken judged products along with Ronald McDonald, Managing Director of Craig Group Foodservice, and Natalie Minnis, editor of the Scottish Grocer. They spent the day tasting and assessing over 40 new products from 20 northeast food and drink companies.
Around 200 guests from the local food and drink industry, retail and foodservice sectors attended the dinner, where Ken McMeikan addressed the audience and also announced the winners.
Ken McMeikan said
““I loved today the enthusiasm of the entrants and the overwhelming quality of products has been outstanding. It is incredibly inspiring to spend time with so many passionate people who care so deeply about food. Grampian’s future continues to be in safe hands with such great innovators”.
