Grampian Food Forum Dining Club at Raemoir House Hotel, Banchory
The Grampian Food Forum Dining Club will take place at 6.30pm-10pm on Monday 14th May at Raemoir House Hotel, near Banchory.
The recently refurbished Raemoir sits in eleven acres of secluded lawn and parkland surrounded by 3,500 acres of hill and forest in beautiful Royal Deeside and is Scotland's Country House Hotel of the Year and one of the most beautiful Country House Hotels in the area.
The guest speaker for the evening is Richard Barclay who owns and manages the family business of Rannoch Smokery, started in the 80’s by his parents.
Rannoch Smokery is a specialist smoker of meat and game using both modern and traditional methods to achieve unique product lines. Extensive resource is currently being put into product innovation with ambitious growth plans, which includes increasing the range of produces supplied to the hospitality sector.
Richard has recently set up and built Innerhadden Hydro Ltd, a 1.4Mw hydro scheme. He also runs and owns Innerhadden Estate a traditional highland sporting estate.
The Grampian Food Forum Dining Club is an initiative aimed at promoting greater use of local produce in the region's hotel and restaurant menus. It provides a forum for hoteliers, restaurateurs and chefs to meet with producers and suppliers to build relationships and explore opportunities to work more closely together.
The ticket price is £35 per person (incs vat). Please note that payment must be made at the time of booking. This can be done using a debit or credit card (2% charge).
