Pass Plus

Pass Plus in Aberdeenshire

Aberdeenshire Council currently operates a grant system to subsidise the Driving Standards Agency’s Pass Plus scheme.  The Council will provide a grant of £45 to any Aberdeenshire resident who has passed their driving test in the past 12 months and who successfully completes the Pass Plus course.

Qualifying for an Aberdeenshire Pass Plus Grant

To qualify for our £45 grant, you MUST:

  • Live in Aberdeenshire - if you live in Aberdeen City, please follow the "External Link" on the right of the screen.
  • Have passed your driving test in the last 12 months
  • Complete the Pass Plus course of at least 6 sessions
  • Apply to Aberdeenshire Council for the grant BEFORE you start your Pass Plus course.

Applying for an Aberdeenshire Pass Plus Grant

a young person driving their carTo apply for an Aberdeenshire Council Pass Plus grant, please follow the following instructions:

  1. Download, print, fill in and return the registration form and BACS payment form below to Aberdeenshire Council's Pass Plus team:
  1. These 2 forms must be returned to Aberdeenshire Council BEFORE starting your Pass Plus course.  When we receive your forms, we will send you a Pass Plus voucher.
  2. Once you have completed your Pass Plus course, please send your voucher and a photocopy of your Pass Plus certificate to Aberdeenshire Council's Pass Plus team. The £45 grant will then be paid directly into the bank account you named in your BACS form; this can be your account or someone else's.
