Aberdeenshire Council's data for waste and recycling can be found on the SEPA (Scottish Envirnomental Protection Agency) website in the Landfill Allowance Scheme reports.

Targets

In 2008, Aberdeenshire Council beat the Scottish Government's target of a 30% recycling rate, achieving 31.2%. We did not meet the 40% target for 2010, reaching only just under 33%, but are exploring ways to improve the service and encourage the public to help us catch up and meet the target of 60% by 2020 and then 70% in 2025
