Targets
In 2008, Aberdeenshire Council beat the Scottish Government's target of a 30% recycling rate, achieving 31.2%. We did not meet the 40% target for 2010, reaching only just under 33%, but are exploring ways to improve the service and encourage the public to help us catch up and meet the target of 60% by 2020 and then 70% in 2025
- For more information on future Scottish targets and how Scotland will achieve them, please see Scotland's Zero Waste Plan, and the Zero Waste Scotland Delivery Plan.
