Alternative ways to dispose of your items

Items can be disposed at your local recycling centre free of charge. Your item(s) may be suitable for recycling or for use by someone else.

If you have items such as furniture, working electrical items and clothing that are in good condition phone the national re-use phone line on 0800 066 5820 or donate online. Items will be collected free of charge by a local organisation and reused.

Additionally, some local charities may also take your items. For example, The New Hope Trust (Stella's Voice) and The Magpie Project offer a pick up service.

Items we can and cannot accept

We can accept a range of household items as well as some large individual items for uplift. There are also a few items we cannot accept as a special uplift. Please note we may need to arrange a visit to your home to assess the access and number of staff needed to remove your items.
