Request bins or collection bags
Find out how to request bins or bags for household waste and recycling collections:
Get new or additional containers for your waste and recycling:
You can request containers for mixed dry recycling or food waste from a domestic property for free. You can have more than one recycling bin and more than one food caddy.
New or replacement bin
From April 2017, you can get a black refuse bin for household use for a delivery and admin fee of £25.
If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax benefit, you can get a black refuse bin for a discounted price of £10.
All bins belong to us but you can write the address of your property on the bin. If you move, the bin should stay at the delivery address due to differences in bin types across Aberdeenshire.
Additional capacity for refuse
We have a strict 1 refuse bin per household policy. However if you need additional capacity, you will need to demonstrate that you are recycling as much as possible, including food waste. We will conduct an audit of the contents of your refuse bin as part of the assessment process. All information provided will be confidential. Please phone Wasteline for details.

Alternatively, you can complete our waste and recycling containers form (pdf 102KB) and send it to:

If you don't have storage space for wheeled bins you can request bag collection service which offers:
- blue bags for refuse (we collect up to 5 bags each fortnight on your collection day)
- clear bags for recycling
This service is only available for refuse and recycling. You should use the small food bin for food waste.
We also offer this service in areas that our standard collection vehicles can't access.
