“Recycling waste means using waste materials to manufacture other products of an identical or similar nature”
Recycling recovers value from things that would otherwise be disposed of. It means that fewer natural resources are being exploited. The more people recycle, the cheaper the products will be.

Recycling Points and Centres
A Recycling Point is an unstaffed site, usually in a car park, supermarket or other place that allows easy public access. Recycling Points are mainly available 24 hours a day, but if they are located next to houses or other places where noise may cause disturbance, please avoid using them too early in the morning or too late at night.
Household Waste and Recycling Centres or 'Recycling Centres' for short are staffed facilities with either full or part time opening hours. Recycling Centres usually accept a wider range of materials than Recycling Points. In Aberdeenshire, these sites also offer facilities to dispose of waste that cannot be collected for recycling. Waste disposal at these sites is free for householders disposing of their own waste.
The availability of recycling facilities depends on the costs involved and the demand for them in the local area. More facilities are being made available and you can help encourage this by making full use of your existing facilities and showing the demand for more to be made available.
