Disposal of Asbestos from Domestic Properties

Aberdeenshire Council currently has four sites licensed to accept asbestos direct from members of the public. Details of these sites are given below.

As of 1st July 2004, it is no longer necessary to obtain a consignment note from your local SEPA (Scottish Environmental Protection Agency) Office. (This is only the case where the material has come from a domestic property and not a commercial or industrial building.)

Asbestos taken to these sites for disposal must be double bagged/ wrapped.

Asbestos Disposal at these sites is restricted. You must contact the relevant site in advance to arrange a time and date for disposal.

There is no charge for disposal at these sites.
