Registration Offices

At present our registration offices are closed to the public, apart from appointments for the following purposes: signing of birth register, producing original documents in respect of forth coming marriages or collection of marriage schedules. View Registrars arrangements during coronavirus.

We provide a consistent range of services throughout Aberdeenshire including:

  • registration of births, marriages and deaths
  • bespoke ceremonial services (including marriage, renewal of vows and baby naming ceremonies)
  • family history research services
  • private citizenship ceremonies

Registration enquiries are handled primarily by telephone. Certain registrations (for example Birth and Marriage) require paper documents to be signed.

Weekly document signing appointments are available from each of our eight office locations. Your registrar will walk you through this process over the phone.

Please note that we may only accept marriage notices for ceremonies taking place within Aberdeenshire. Please refer to our marriage section for further details.
