Pride in Place: We Are Peterhead

The Pride in Place programme (previously the Plan for Neighbourhoods) is the UK Government’s flagship communities programme which empowers local people to shape the future of their neighbourhood. The goal of the programme is to help communities address local challenges and plan for renewal. Peterhead is one of the areas selected to receive £20 million in funding from 2026, which will be delivered under the We Are Peterhead Programme.

The We Are Peterhead Board has been set up to develop and lead on Peterhead’s plan: Together We Are Peterhead. The board is made up of local independent volunteers who are passionate about the town and committed to making a difference. As the local authority, the council is required to act as the accountable body for the programme.
